Caledonia’s Larder was founded in 1992 with a view to supplying Hotels & Restaurants Quality Products. We now pride ourselves as being one of the leading specialist food companies in Scotland .
The companies present managing director Tom Hunter joined Caledonia’s Larder in 1995 as Sales Director having been sales & marketing manager for a national specialist food company, and in 2004 a new Director, Kate Hunter, was appointed to the board to assist in the continual growth of the company.
Kate is Tom`s wife and joined the company in 1999. She has worked in Sales in the food industry for several years working in America and Canada. Kate assists in the day to day running of the business.
Caledonia’s Larder product range is varied and are broadly defined under the headings of ;
Poultry and Game, Smoked meats, Fresh Fish, Frozen Fish & Seafood, Delicatessen, Fruit Puree, Couverture Chocolate and specialist chocolate products, Hand Made Desserts and cheese.
Being a Scottish Company, as many products as possible are of local origin, although as the market place has demanded, some excellent products have been sourced from France, Italy, Germany and Spain. Many of the Products we sell can only be purchased in Scotland through ourselves as we have been given sole distribution rights.
Caledonia’s Larder believes in giving chefs the products prepared to their own specification and so have butchers and fish filleters on hand to prepare the products as you require.
All products are delivered in the Company’s own temperature controlled vans therefore assuring a traceable and reliable prompt service.
Caledonia’s Larder is based in Stirling and this central position enables easy access to all parts of Scotland.
